Title: Manager, Retail Development

What You’ll Do:
The RD Manager works cross functionally with Corporate partners, retail partners and the field team to implement new and ongoing initiatives to support wholesale stores. The RD Manager streamlines communication and processes and acts as a “voice” of the field within Corporate. The RD Manager supports the development of various training materials for both onboarding and ongoing employee development.
Sales Generation:
- Meet sales goals by identifying successes and opportunities in the business and developing “big picture” strategies
- Connect the dots between the field and corporate, sharing insights and knowledge that corporate planning and sales partners use to affect by door sales plans
- Partner with Field team to create new and unique strategies and best practices, which will be used to develop and grow the business
- Develop and leverage retail partner relationships to drive business
Operations & Communication:
- Partner with Marketing to support in-store event execution and identify strategic initiatives to drive the business
- Develop clear, consistent, timely, and organized methods of communication with corporate office, field force, and retail partners on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis via email, phone calls, virtual meetings and/or in-person meetings
- Partner with IT on new technology and systems initiatives
Training:
- Provide specific support and direction for training and visual materials, understanding that training and education are the foundation of the field team
- Conduct store visits to provide the additional training/coaching/development on the sales floor
- Partner with Visual and Learning and Development teams to ensure we execute the corporate direction in stores and effectively train the Retail Development field team
- Work with both the Corporate and Field teams to evaluate initiatives and recommend improvements
- Provide oversight of all brand training tools, being part of the conception and execution before delivered out to the team
Talent Development:
- Partner with field teams in development of training and visual excellence skills.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel proficiency
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and follow-up skills: email, phone, etc
- Proven ability to be strategic and tactical in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Aptitude to adapt to evolving retail environment with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 5+ years of retail/regional management experience
- Strong retail math and business analysis skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
