Generation W Inc, is a nonprofit service organization focused on educating, inspiring, and connecting women and girls. It is dedicated to building community, bringing people together, and advancing and enhancing their lives. Generation W has developed and executes several programs, Generation W, Generation WOW and Generation WORKS and WOWsdom!
Generation W is seeking a savvy and highly motivated individual as Manager of Development and Engagement. In this position, you will support the organization's efforts to create, cultivate, and sustain relationships with donors and partners.Reporting to the Director of Development and Engagement, you will also manage and execute critical projects for strategic outreach, such as research on potential partners and grants, and database management. This role offers a great opportunity for anyone interested in expanding on or developing their passion for nonprofit fundraising.
We are seeking an outgoing, creative, goal-oriented, highly organized individual. The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, possess strong writing skills, and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to the Generation W organization as a whole.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed below are major duties and responsibilities of this position:
Development and Partnership Support
•Work closely with the Director of Development and Engagement to create and execute an annual plan to effectively steward, renew and upgrade high-capacity, high-potential donors and partners
•Become an expert representative on Generation W’s various programs, partnerships, events and impact with the ability to tailor communications with potential partners according to their interest and connection to the organization
•Create partnership documents including all details for partners to fulfill these agreements
•Research potential grants that align with Generation W’s mission
•Working with Director of Development and Engagement, stay on top of all elements of the partnership agreements to ensure Generation W is fulfilling their aspects of the agreements
•Manage contact lists and database of partners
•Keep all sponsorship records up to date
•Ensure all invoices are generated accurately and invoices according to established timelines
Event Support
•For events, manage registration process, interfacing frequently with partners on attendee registration and provide post-event reporting
•Provide communication and reporting to Generation W team on event registration status
•Follow up with partners to ensure logos, ads and other marketing materials are received by deadlines
•Follow up with partners after events with registration stats as requested
•Generate thank you efforts including emails, gifts and other correspondence post events
•Manage other outreach efforts prior to events including identifying and contacting organizations across the country that may be interested in attending Generation W events for ticket sales
Research and Grant Writing Support
•Lead any required potential new partner research and prepare briefings for organization leaders
•Support any Grant Writing needs by researching and assisting in the application process for potential funding opportunities
•Track and submit required Grant reporting data
Individual Giving Support
•Working with Director of Development and Engagement, develop an Individual Giving strategy
•Manage site where individual donations are made, keep all necessary records and report out to team
•Provide necessary gift acknowledgements, tax receipts and other donor acknowledgements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
•Strong communication skills with ability to listen, speak and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner.
•Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple work assignments with frequent interruptions.
•Strong computer skills especially with Google Office Suite
•Detailed oriented, with proficient proofreading skills
•Familiarity with common office equipment.
•Mission focused.
•Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, marketing or other related field.
•3 years’ experience working in development, fundraising or project management.
