The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is the only 3-day and 2-night cruise sailing from the Port of Palm Beach to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. Guests can extend their stay with a 4-6 night cruise and stay package. On this floating island vacation, our guests can relax, unwind, enjoy the endless opportunities of entertainment, soak up the sun and cruise in casual-luxe comfort.
Salary Expectations: Base Salary $55,000 - $65,000 with on target earnings of $80,000 annually.
Position requires a go getter who loves to hunt for new opportunity, cold call, and pound the pavement. This is an individual contributor with minimal leadership responsibilities.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals by developing, executing, and implementing account strategy. Directly accountable for revenue production from new accounts and base business growth for existing accounts in a geographic area. Promotes MVAS to accounts through on-site sales calls, telephone, and written communication.
Essential Job Functions:
• Create and Deliver Fun and Escapism
• Develop and execute an account strategy within a geographic territory to include Florida with potential for reach outside of Florida.
• Meet and exceed established sales goals.
• Maintain strong and effective long-term relationships that are consistent and continue to grow with company objectives.
• ‘Foot-forward’ approach to sales with the ability to listen keenly and provide solutions for customers.
• Ability to shift agency issues into a business opportunity with a win-win service recovery approach.
• Lead/participate in trade shows, seminars, shipboard luncheons, webinars, and industry events as needed.
• Negotiate group quotes and contracts to be consistent with revenue needs.
• Plan and oversee marketing initiatives and sales plans with partners and report results to management.
• Ensure execution of travel advisory training, sales, and business plans.
• Maintain an accurate and detailed agency database using Excel and/or a CRM.
Education Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years of relationship-sales experience including a track record of revenue growth.
• Experience in the cruise and/or travel industry preferred.
Knowledge:
• Prefer existing contacts at travel agencies and tour operators in the territory.
• Must be humble, coachable, innovative and passionate with a positive can do attitude.
• Must be able to follow established sales methodologies.
• Must be fully equipped to work with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must have knowledge and experience using web-based presentation tools such as Zoom, Teams, and Go To Webinar.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and communication skills including public speaking.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and operate in a fast-changing environment.
• Must possess planning, budgeting, business management, and analytical/forecasting skills.
• Must be able to thoughtfully discuss a business plan with customers.
Abilities:
• Must possess sufficiently strong presentation skills to move an audience to desire to learn more about the product.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally, work in a hybrid environment and in the field frequently (up to 4 days a week). Must work occasional nights and weekends.
• Self-starter, team player, and able to work independently.
• Must possess planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business management skills.
• Must have a car and possess a valid driver’s license.
