Role Summary


The Business Engagement Sr. Manager role is responsible for local stakeholder management & supplier performance management. They are responsible for supporting local stakeholders by engaging in key internal / external stakeholder discussions and / or routing requests to S&ES team members, and for managing tactical supplier performance process & supplier development programs to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders.


Key responsibilities:


Local Stakeholder Management


  • Work with team to ensure that voice of the customer and supplier requirements are captured in the category strategy development process
  • Work with the internal stakeholders, including business leaders and cross-functional teams, to understand business requirements and develop sourcing
  • Engage actively in key internal / external stakeholder discussions at the local plant / market to identify and address issues that may arise
  • Work with key local stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies that support business objectives and deliver value

  • Lead the discussions on core processes needed to coordinate across local teams and stakeholders


Operational Excellence


  • Identify and lead initiatives that optimize costs through local sourcing, identify and evaluate local suppliers, negotiate favorable pricing, and track cost

  • Identify and lead areas of process improvement and implement these initiatives to achieve cost savings, increased productivity, and enhanced supplier


performance


  • Lead the TPRM Process Execution
  • Ensure clear understanding of business priorities is communicated with key Category and Services teams
  • Continuously monitor the local market for changes that may impact the business
  • Responsible for overseeing regular internal SRM reporting


Supplier Performance Management


  • Lead regular supplier operational interactions and metrics discussions, identify areas for improvement, supplier change and supplier process change approval
  • Identify areas of supplier performance improvement to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Develop ideas for supplier innovation by collaborating with supplier to identify new products, technologies, and process that can deliver exceptional value to

  • Monitor supplier SLA compliance and develop supplier action plans as needed
  • Lead the resolution of supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing in a timely and effective manner


People Management & Development, where applicable

Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Business operations acumen and client engagement and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and collaboration to


drive value and innovation


  • Ability to engage with senior executives to present and review decisions
  • Business English required
  • Effective project management & communications skills
  • Experience of managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience in negotiating and managing supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Enable collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment on supplier strategies and goals
  • Comfort with ambiguity & ability to adapt to the changing market conditions


Preferred Qualifications


  • Certifications preferred: CPSM, CPM, PMP, MCIPS
  • MBA or Master’s degree in strategy, management, or related field is a plus
  • Similar procurement/Sourcing experience with similar Blue-chip organization


Experience


  • Track record of building strong partnerships with business leaders
  • Strong experience of market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and market trends
  • Typical Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement (6+ yrs for MBA/MS)
  • Experience in understanding supplier perspective and presenting it to internal teams
  • Experience of conducting regular supplier performance evaluations
  • Experience in implementing supplier relationship management strategies


Knowledge


  • Familiarity with procurement software and technology tools
  • Understanding of business & S&ES strategic priorities (category, service, and other initiatives)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, and other relevant software
  • Interpersonal skills to drive coordination between suppliers, Business / Function, & stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with standard analytical methods and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access)
  • Strong knowledge of communication platforms
  • Understanding of the supplier landscape (by category as relevant)

Work Location Assignment: On Premise


The annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,900.00 to $189,700.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.


Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
