What You Will Do


L’Oréal USA is looking for a passionate, bright, and energetic digital candidate to join the Amazon Analytics Accelerator team, to evolve the quality assurance process and ensure successful adoption of enterprise analytics and tech capabilities to support rapid growth. Amazon Tech Accelerator is an advanced analytics capability that L’Oréal has built to drive ecommerce growth and future proof our business. Launched in 2020, The tool combines 50M+ data points to measure all the eCommerce inputs of our retail partners to bring insights to action and drive executional excellence.


This role will be responsible for partnering with our team of engineers and analytic experts to ensure accuracy and stability of our best-in-class amazon performance measurement and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in a quantitative field, backed by an experience in working with large, automated data sets and refining them into digestible outputs to answer the question “are we doing it right?”. Should be scrappy, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in identifying product bugs/discrepancies and curating long term solutions. Role will be multi-faceted managing data from various sources in Operations, Sales, advertising, and finance, partnering with relative stakeholder to overcome challenges. The candidate should also have strong communication and project management skills, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders to understand data challenges and see-through solutions.


  • Identify blue sky opportunities to support the strategic needs and day to day of running Amazon via new capabilities, automation, third party vendors, and other initiatives then build business case for exploration and execution.
  • Detect any bugs or defects throughout the development process, recording what went wrong and how it was circumvented
  • Own user wide communication around all API/Source’s updates and outages ongoing.
  • Become a functional expert on how API/ Data Source’s work and improve synchronization consistency and flow to dashboards.
  • Design scripts, test plans and procedures for new pieces of software and work out any bugs with the development team before it is put into full production
  • Developing and tracking test metrics and maintaining the quality of products
  • Responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring of the quality assurance test cases.
  • Implementing new processes and creating new tools to automate testing
  • Daily/Weekly monitoring of performance of products
  • Review end user problems or complaints, making any issues that are experienced by numerous customers a priority
  • Exploratory Analysis on how to curate a more efficient data model & catalog accuracy
  • Partner with Analytic teams within each division to push the boundaries of how we can extract insights that will drive performance on Amazon.
  • Working closely with the product team on the design and development of new features
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and tutorials
  • Work as part of a team to develop new testing tools to make the troubleshooting process more efficient


What We Are Looking For


  • Experience with Amazon advertising data and Marketing Cloud a plus.
  • Ability to write SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database is a plus.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis
  • 3+ years of industry experience in data analysis. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools and creating data visualization concepts. (Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power Bi, Looker or similar)
  • Educational background in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance.
