The Learning Operations Specialist opportunity is with Colibri Group's esteemed accounting brand, Becker Professional Education. For over 60 years, Becker has been the partner accountants trust with their professional education.


Position Overview


The Learning Operations Specialist is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of Becker’s Exam Review or Continuing Education courses, which are offered in various platforms (self-study, live virtual, etc.). This individual hires, trains, schedules, and supervises the activities of Course Coordinators. They'll also schedule and coordinate the Academic Teaching Assistants. They will prepare classrooms (virtual or live), install and test equipment on a regular basis to minimize problems, assist with student questions, and working with student issues related to Client Services.


What You'll Do - All Learning Operations Specialists


  • Acts as liaison with Client Services and Finance to provide analytics as assigned
  • Acts as a liaison with the customer service team to ensure all student issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Hire, train and schedule Course Coordinators
  • Acts as a liaison with Client Services regarding classroom schedule activations and student enrollment.
  • Making phone calls to back-ups if primary support (ATA’s or Course Coordinators) do not show
  • Provide feedback coaching to Course Coordinators
  • Execute payment of Course Coordinator invoices
  • Approve Course Coordinator time sheets
  • Execute payment of ATA invoices
  • Provide classroom management including day-of-event support including:
  • Collaborate with instruction team to resolve classroom related issues
  • Execute payment and approval of faculty invoices
  • Schedule ATA’s according to the matrix provided by the faculty team
What You'll Do - Learning Operations Specialists for Exam Review Products (CPA or CMA)


  • Makes calls and emails students when classroom or course changes occur.
  • Maintains and monitors all instructional materials to ensure adequate supplies for each class and orders and distributes student material/supplies as assigned.
  • Responsible for management and submission of the student evaluations and response cards at classroom
  • Installs and tests equipment to ensure smooth operation during classes and minimize technical issues.
  • Attends selected classes to assist with student questions, registration issues, and verify student identity.
  • Acts as a liaison with site coordinators to secure dates, space and unique items as needed
  • Performs the Customer Care role as needed for additional support.
  • Ensures all Becker hardware and materials have a secured storage area and is safeguarded during class
  • Send course communications including welcome emails and schedule reminders to instructors/presenters, ATA’s, Course Coordinators or students and creates ad-hoc reports for instructors and management as needed
  • Perform course attendance and schedule management (monitoring class size for when to add additional ATAs, posting class schedule, removing class schedule, etc.)
What You'll Do - Learning Operations Specialists for Continuing Education Products (CPE)


  • Manual grading of CPE live events and managing partial credit student questions and B2B requests for partial grading of live events
  • Provides QA for courses to sure execution success at various intervals (72-hour, 24-hour and actual morning/day of event)
  • Coordinates virtual events
What You'll Need to Succeed


  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience required and audio/visual troubleshooting skills desired
  • Team player mentality
  • Must be willing to travel in a defined regional area (specific to Becker’s Exam Review CPA Products)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of students and resolve problems diplomatically in a timely manner
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), problem solving, and organizational skills required
  • 3-4 years of supervisory experience, preferably with part-time and/or contractors, and general office experience required
  • Experience working in remote environment and virtual training environment strongly desired
