Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position oversees the prestigious Leadership Sarasota and Sarasota Young Professionals group programs. The following outline/scope of work is accomplished by performing the following duties by collaborating with Chamber staff and volunteers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (include the following, but not limited to what is outlined below)

1. Plan, implement and oversee all logistics of the Adult and Youth Leadership Programs

2. Plan and execute all Sarasota Young Professionals Group programming and events

3. Work with Communications Coordinator and contribute to social media and email communications for all programs.

4. Create relationships with local high schools to recruit students for the Youth Leadership Program

5. Coordinating and participating in volunteer committee communications and meetings

6. Coordinating and executing Engage Sarasota series and luncheons.

7. Coordinating Leadership Alumni events

8. Run, update, and maintain billing and database records for members and participants.

9. Conceptualizing activities that will add to program growth for all programs under the purview of Leadership and YPG

10. Participate in a variety of outside/community meetings and events to share and represent Chamber Programs

11. Create budgets, spreadsheets and documents for all Program/events and track expenses.

12. Plan and implement annual YPG Summit, half day event

13. Plan and implement annual Leadership Alumni Educational conference, half day event

14. Support all Chamber Signature activities and events as a team member

15. Additional projects and tasks not outlined above may be added to the scope of this position.


REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Excellent communication skills, professional appearance, and ability to effectively represent the Chamber and its brand.

3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with members, volunteers, and the public.

4. Basic social media knowledge

5. Basic knowledge of Atlas/Weblink Membership database (training available)

6. Basic math and accounting skills.

7. Available for some evening and weekend events.


TOOLS OR EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

1. PC terminal/ Laptop

2. Telephone, copier, calculator, etc.

3. Microsoft software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.

4. Atlas Association Management Software
