Job Summary:
As a Training Manager, you will lead strategic design, delivery, and project management of training for Disney Vacation Club (DVC). You will have a broad scope of responsibilities and will drive for results. Partnership, influence, and consultation will be important as you lead work across DVC. Bodies of work can include leading our delivery program, the creation of content and/or technology and production.
With team leadership, program management, strategy, and innovation as priorities, you are expected to work independently or with a team of Cast Members to create and facilitate training content. You will create evaluation strategies, measure success, align with business metrics, and influence change. A future-focused mindset and experience with change management will be essential to your success. Excellent partnership and execution skills are important. You will leverage your high-level project management and organizational skills to lead complex programs and collaborate with your team, peers, and partners to achieve results. Experience with leadership, technology, and a background in training are important for this role as you help build the future training strategy for DVC.
The Training Manager will report to the Manager, Training and Development and sits in Celebration, FL.
Responsibilities
- Manage peer and partner relationships directly, often times at the senior management and/or executive levels, to drive project/program deliverables
- In partnership with peers and leader, intake training requests, analyze needs, consult on solutions, and prioritize and lead projects
- Lead project integrator responsible for designing and managing multiple programs, creating and monitoring project plans, developing and delivering content, and ensuring the goals/outcomes meet business needs
- Evaluate effectiveness of training and integrate solutions
- Consult and influence partners on training strategy
- Lead Content Curators, set business strategy, and leverage leadership skills to inspire a team, with as many as 2-4 direct reports, to achieve goals
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in learning and applying new software/technologies
- Skills with creative thinking, communication with leaders at all levels, influence, partnership, prioritization, and change leadership
- Experience maintaining confidential information
- Ability to manage large scope / high complexity projects without direct supervision
- Decision making skills and initiative to take action to resolve issues, accomplish tasks, and improve efficiency
- Ability to work flexible schedule across multiple time zones as well work on property and from home as needed
- 5+ years of Leadership, Project and/or Program Management experience
- Experience in Microsoft 365 tools, facilitation, and instructional design
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous knowledge of Disney Vacation Club
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or equivalent
