Career Services Data Specialist
USC Career Center, a department of Student Affairs, is seeking a Career Services Data Specialist to join its team. The Career Services Data Specialist will work on the USC Career Service Research team under the supervision of Career Services Research Analytics Lead.
Responsibilities

• Compile data sets for analyses, including combining some datasets from different sources.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer questions from campus and external partners.
• Operate and maintain a Career Services “data dictionary” and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to standardize how data is defined and process is completed.
• Maintain and update multiple Tableau dashboards for week-to-week operational reporting.
• May lead student intern staff as assigned.
• Manage and update students’ profiles on different systems and collaborate with team members to staff in-person events.
• Customize Tableau dashboards based on needs and requests from different stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics/Data Sciences/Statistics or related field
• Minimum work experiences of 2 years in data analytics.
• Background or industry knowledge in higher education will be a plus.
• Experience with SQL and Python.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, STATA and CRM systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
