What is Investment Ops?

The Investment Operations team provides trade and operational support to over 40 different Lines of Business. We create significant value across the Firm’s investment strategies and infrastructure functions by providing data analysis, reporting, and by developing solutions to complex operational hurdles to allow the business to achieve its goals. We adapt to dynamic business requirements by combining product expertise, technology, and a flexible, data-driven approach.

The team supports the RMBS, CMBS, Corporate Distressed, Emerging Markets, Private Equity, Non-Performing Loan, and Real Estate investment strategies. We work closely with investment staff on closing new deals, liquid trading activity, portfolio financing, and hedging risk. We also support the broader business by working closely with the Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations teams on a variety of initiatives and projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as the FX Hedge Manager. As the FX Hedge Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our FX hedging program, including execution, allocation, settlement, and coordination with various deal teams. Your role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure proper hedging strategies are deployed and trades are executed in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze market trends and currency movements to support decision-making processes.
• Liaise daily with the trading desks to assist with all ad-hoc requests, including P&L analysis, liquidity analysis, etc.
• Liaise with Legal counsel to facilitate the opening of new trading agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly checks and assist in development of new checks to manage operational risk.
• Maintain accurate trade records, documentation, and reports related to FX trading activities.
• Coordinate with deal teams to understand and assess hedging needs for different transactions.
• Maintain meta and financial data in our Data Warehouse Management system and build Data Warehouse reporting leveraging this information.
• Stay updated with industry developments, market regulations, and best practices in FX trading.
• Execute FX trades based on established hedging strategies and guidelines.
• Work with the Investment Operations and Business Optimization teams on various projects aimed to automate/improve current processes.
• Advise on best practice hedging strategies with deal teams when applicable.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve trade-related issues and ensure smooth settlement processes.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely allocation of trades.
• Explore new business opportunities with prospective FX trading counterparties.
• Maintain relationships with all FX trading counterparties.

Desired Experience, Skills, And Background

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in FX trading is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with deal teams, internal departments, and external counterparts.
• Strong understanding of FX markets, hedging strategies, and FX products.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make informed trading decisions.
• Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple trades and tasks simultaneously.
• B.S. or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy in trade execution and documentation.
• Proven experience in FX trading, preferably within a financial institution or trading environment.
• Proficient in using trading platforms and software for trade execution and analysis.
• 4-8 years’ experience in a related role.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $110,000.00 and $135,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package, and a robust benefits package.
