Hedge Fund Business Development

Job description

Our client is a $16bn global multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund with a track record spanning over 20 years. They are seeking an associate to join the business development team, focused on identifying, attracting, and evaluating top talent within the financial industry.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, including passive job seekers and industry professionals, to establish a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
• Interview all candidates to assess if they are a fit for investment positions
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to ensure our recruitment strategies are effective and competitive.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract top-tier candidates for investment roles within the hedge fund.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and senior executives to understand their strategy, recruitment needs, and team dynamics.

Qualifications

· 3-6 years of experience of total work experience in a complex finance role, preferably within sales and trading, capital introduction or prime brokerage

· Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline

· Deep understanding of hedge fund industry roles, market dynamics, and hiring trends.

· Strong quantitative aptitude with a high attention to detail
