Leading Global multibillion-dollar Alternative Investment Advisor seeks a VP - Loan Closer with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of syndicated bank loan closing experience preferably acquired in a acquired in a Hedge Fund, Investment Manager or CLO Manager to be responsible for full scope of Par Loan Closing and Bank Loan Settlement activity in a high-volume environment for a platform that continues to grow exponentially. The Senior Loan Closer will possess strong loan closing expertise, be versed in LSTA guidelines, be responsible for managing trades across counterparties, cash management across warehouses, funds ahead of settlements, manage open trades and open trade control reporting. He/She will be versed in settlement and related trade documentation including (Assignment & Acceptance agreements, PSA’s), manage multiple cash and position reconciliations, be experienced working with ClearPar electronic settlement platform, possess a good knowledge of the US leveraged loan market, have acted as a Team Lead and be willing to support day-to-day and broader operations activity. Requirements
• A minimum of 8-10 years of related experience in a similar role at a buy-side firm with responsibility for full scope of Loan Closing in a high volume, detail oriented and deadline driven environment.
• Well versed in loan closing process and related documentation with experience working with a broad product mix that includes Par loans (Distressed loan knowledge a plus) and knowledge of other fixed income asset classes like bonds, structured credit, CDS/CDX, options, FX Spot/Forward trades.
• Versed in LSTA guidelines (LMA a plus) and able to manage multiple cash and position reconciliations.
• Experienced in working with ClearPar electronic settlement platform necessary, with Wall Street Office (WSO) or related portfolio administration experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of bank loan operations and Bank Loan closings and restructurings.
• Ability to act as Team Lead for settlement team overseeing Settlements Team issues and handle escalations to Head of Settlements.
• Bachelor’s Degree with excellent communications skills, the ability to work independently and demonstrate good Excel and technology skills.
