One of the top opportunistic credit hedge funds based in New York is looking to make hire an Investment VP / Principal. The firm has an extremely flexible investment mandate looking principally at opportunistic credit investments across performing, stressed and distressed situations in a range of different industries. They have a top decile performance track record and an extremely talented senior leadership team. The team continues to experience strong growth and success and is looking to expand their team with a hire at the VP / Principal level.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with Portfolio Managers to provide analytical and project support for all investment related activities including new issues, secondary and portfolio monitoring
• Assist in developing investment committee memoranda, materials with senior team members, and ad hoc projects
• Daily responsibilities include modelling, quantitative financial analysis, financial and business due diligence

The Requirements

• You must have strong analytical & technical skills, are result-oriented, with attention to detail and quality when delivering results under time pressure
• 5 to 9 years’ experience in credit research at an investment bank or credit fund
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree required from a top tier institution
• You must have proven project management and organizational skills
