Job Description

Our elite global Private Equity client is seeking to recruit an Investment Associate to join their Special Asset Fund responsible for performing investment analysis, industry research, financial modeling, deal negotiation, and transaction due diligence for structured and esoteric asset-based investments. 1-3 years of experience in FIG, Leveraged Finance or Structured Products investment banking required.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop cashflow projections and financial models to assess relative value and risk for potential investments
  • Assist with developing and delivering detailed and accurate investment committee analysis and memos before making investment recommendations
  • Perform industry and company specific research to support individual investment opportunities
  • Perform historical financial analysis, data analysis and scenario analysis
  • Perform surveillance, monitoring, value enhancement analysis, amendment evaluation for existing investments
  • Support transaction due diligence and the investment closing process
  • Create performance analysis and reports of existing investments for portfolio management leaders
  • Perform investment analysis, industry research, financial modeling, deal negotiation, and transaction due diligence for structured and esoteric asset-based investments


Requirements:


  • Highly motivated and detail oriented with strong project management and prioritizing skills
  • Advance business writing skills with demonstrated ability to create presentations, synthesize and summarize complex information, draft memoranda and write reports that will be consumed by investors
  • Bachelor's Degree with strong academic record
  • Advanced financial modeling, cash flow modeling, financial statement analysis and financial due diligence skills
  • Creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial outlook and keen interest in identifying and analyzing investment opportunities
  • 1-3 years of FIG or Structured Product Investment Banking experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
