Job Description

Data Scientist | Elite Hedge Fund

  • Salary: $150,000 – $300,000+

NYC Based Hedge Fund is looking for Data Scientists to join their team


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Traders, Quants, and Researchers to solve their critical data problems
  • Research potential alpha sources, and present to portfolio managers
  • Build data processing/analytics tools for research and trading
  • Model large and unstructured data using machine learning and statistical techniques


Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, data science, etc.
  • Experience working with large scale data analytics and their applications
  • Strong programming skills in the following languages: SQL, Python, R, Scala, Spark
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced/high-impact environment
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience in Data/Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
