Hedge Fund Client Onboarding Associate

This position requires an experienced individual who can deeply understand the account onboarding process, drive improvements to streamline and increase efficiencies around the account onboarding process and hold teams accountable to running their respective tasks.

The onboarding associate will be responsible for facilitating the account onboarding process from start to finish. This may include facilitating both internal and external set-ups, hosting onboarding calls, working with fund administrators, monitoring outstanding tasks in Workfront, as well as maintaining and circulating account onboarding summary and status updates.

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvements for onboarding and work with business partners to implement solutions, including enhancing internal workflow management system (Workfront)
• Have an in-depth understanding of various types of funds for onboarding, including CLOs, Separated Managed Accounts
• Manage onboarding process across multiple business lines and systems to ensure smooth account onboarding
• Partner with external Fund Administrator to onboard new accounts and ensure all deliverables are provided, including AML/KYC documents
• Hold teams accountable if onboarding tasks are not completed in a timely manner
• Host onboarding calls with Legal, Operations, Accounting, Portfolio Compliance and Client Coverage teams

Qualifications

• Proactive and results driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Strong work ethic, resourcefulness and ability to prioritize workload based on evolving needs
• 2+ years of experience in alternative investment space
• Bachelor's degree
• Account onboarding experience is preferable
• Well organized with attention to detail
