About Us
We are a regional wastewater treatment agency and wholesale distributor of imported water, catering to approximately 935,000 people across 242 square miles in western San Bernardino County. Our dedicated team of over 300 personnel ensures the success of the agency as we operate and maintain various water recycling facilities, sewer collection systems, potable water facilities, sewage lift stations, and more. We take pride in our mission to serve the community and the environment.
Position Details
Type: Internship (Non-Exempt)
Hours: Approximately 15 to 25 hours per week
Duration: 960 hours per fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th)
Schedule: Flexible work hours with potential remote work options
What We're Looking For
We seek an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical, communication, and time management skills. As a proactive learner, you should be eager to take on various projects and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
Responsibilities
As an HR Intern, you'll have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of human resources, including:
Assisting with learning & development, performance management, and employee engagement programs.
Contributing to special projects, such as implementing electronic performance appraisal and learning management systems.
Drafting communication materials and supporting marketing initiatives.
Scheduling and coordinating training sessions.
Conducting surveys and performing research and data analysis.
Providing support in recruitment/selection, benefits administration, and responding to employment-related inquiries.
Participating in the design and implementation of new programs and systems.
Assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining specialized files.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Current enrollment in undergraduate or graduate studies with a focus on Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Management, Psychology, Training and Development, Communications, Business, or Public Administration/Management, or related fields.
Possession of a valid class "C" California driver's license.
