The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in all areas of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training and development, and performance management. The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with the legal and operations departments to ensure a positive employee experience. This position is hybrid remote working 2 days a week in the office.

Are you a passionate and experienced Human Resources Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Are you looking to take your career to the next level within the legal industry? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in various HR functions, including benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, leave of absence management, and HRIS systems. You will be an integral part of our HR team, helping to shape our workforce and company culture.


Responsibilities


As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources. Your responsibilities will include


  • Maintaining HRIS records and compiling reports from the database.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Managing and tracking all employee disciplinary action.
  • Administering various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating and tracking all employee leave of absence requests, including FMLA and personal leaves.
  • Administering and explaining benefits to employees, serving as liaison with insurance carriers, and managing the open enrollment process.
  • Conducting recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; conducting new-employee orientations; monitoring career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.


Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of education, experience, and skills including


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR Generalist role, preferably in the legal industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and HRMS.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
