Job Description
The primary function of this role is to provide assistance to the HR department with a variety of important HR administrative functions. This role will assist with onboarding new employees ensuring a vibrant and welcoming experience, important data entry, reporting, maintaining HR records, and acting as a liaison to the business for HR related questions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provides day to day general Human Resources support to employees and management for New York and Washington based schools
  • Onboard new employees for New York and Washington locations as required
  • Conduct new hire orientation bi-weekly
  • Track training requirements and completion for employees
  • Manage new hire check-in process and stay interviews
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Participate in offboarding process for exiting employees
  • Handles multiple tasks assigned by supervisor, able to prioritize as needed
  • Manage workers compensation claims and ensure proper and timely reporting
  • Create and maintain HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct salary benchmark research as needed
  • As needed, participate in employee conversations and investigations and take detailed notes
  • Monitor timekeeping system and make timecard adjustments as needed
Requirements
Qualifications & characteristics of the ideal candidate include:
  • One to two years of experience working in a human resources related role preferred
  • High level of confidentiality
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and diligent about punctual task or project completion
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
