Job Description
Deep Origin, a visionary venture sculpting the future of life sciences, is accelerating drug discovery by developing an integrated ecosystem of life science technology tools spanning bioinformatics, experimentation, simulations, computational chemistry, data, and Al/ML.


As the Head of Marketing/Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for developing, launching, and leading the marketing efforts of the company to help grow the business and establish it as a leader in its domains of engagement. You will be joining a team of passionate and diversely talented individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.


The ideal candidate is an ambitious individual, prepared to write the Deep Origin marketing playbook starting with a blank page. You will lead our marketing activities at both strategic and tactical levels, building a broader team as we grow. You’ll be responsible for creating and validating strategies for presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand, increase engagement, and boost sales. The role is an excellent opportunity for a hungry, self-starting candidate seeking to build on a track record of success while gaining experience in creating and executing a marketing strategy for a fast-paced and growing tech-bio startup.


Requirements


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, drive demand, and generate leads for our evolving set of offerings
  • Manage the company's digital presence, including website, social media, advertising campaigns
  • Identify, generate, and manage opportunities for webinars and other public forums to evangelize our products, services, and value
  • Drive market demand by developing and running campaigns, including digital and face-to-face customer interactions
  • Routinely evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness to prioritize allocation of marketing time and resources
  • Work with the rest of the commercial team to identify appropriate value propositions to target customers and to build pre-sales and post-sales material.
  • Collect market intelligence to support business strategy formulation and daily operational decisions in the biotech and biopharma market segments
  • Conduct market research and follow trends to maintain company awareness of industry trends and competition
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and customer success teams to create effective sales and marketing strategies, materials, and collateral


Requirements:


  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Entrepreneurial “can do” attitude with the ability to rapidly learn and find creative, pragmatic solutions
  • 8+ years experience in B2B software marketing, sales, customer success, or product marketing roles in the biotech industry and/or life science industry
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing, and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and revenue
  • Experience as a Marketing Lead scaling revenue into >$100M/year company
  • Hands-on data analysis skills and the ability to use metrics to inform decisions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
