The Position
Our confidential client is looking for a passionate, resilient, creative, and influential leader to be their Head of Marketing. This is an extraordinary career move for someone looking to advance. We are looking for an open and agile individual, able to perform under pressure and successfully develop teams. The Head of Marketing will manage a small team of direct reports and will have increasing responsibilities over time. The Head of Marketing can expect to work heavily with Sales, R&D, and the Operations functions. Other key duties of this position involve building and developing high-performing teams, cross-functional collaboration, improving communication channels, and organization. This role's responsibilities will include partnering with senior leadership to determine business priorities and initiatives as well as inbound and outbound marketing, based on specific company needs and their local and international strategic plans.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a vision for the marketing department including processes and goals through strategy, execution, and forecasting
- Lead and manage the transformation for sustainable results and accelerate profitable growth. This will include developing a high performing work team (HPWT) and making needed adjustments to the Marketing department's structure
- Manage a creative and forward-thinking Marketing department
- Partner with the President, key leaders, and other stakeholders in Sales, Operations, and R&D
- Define an overall marketing strategy for the Americas
- Manage inbound and outbound marketing, branding, campaigns, the updating of the company website, and cross-functional collaboration
- Effectively lead a team and position products through market research, competitive analysis, value proposition development, technical specifications, and feedback integration, among others
- Create and promote a vision for inbound and outbound marketing which will encompass duties in ROI analysis, continuous learning, thought leadership, A/B testing, marketing automation, lead generation, advertising campaigns, sales promotions, product demonstrations, referral programs, partnerships, podcasts and content creation, and workshops
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Exposure to the Sales function preferred in order to understand clientele and their needs
- Proven experience driving profitable growth in a medium sized company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for all levels
- Recent or continuous exposure to electronics manufacturing or related industry experience
- Ability to travel up to 30%, to both domestic and international locations
- Prior experience with M&A required
- Experience with Marketo or similar software required
- Strong strategic and influential leadership experience
- 7-15 years' working experience in marketing and sales roles, including progressive leadership responsibilities
- Outstanding change management skills with an agile mindset
- A Green Card or citizenship for the United States is required for consideration in this position
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- Agile, creative, resilient, passionate, proactive, and able to empower and motivate a team
- Global exposure a plus
- Ability to work in office
- Proven experience leading significant transformation in a fast pace and growing environment
- Experience in traditional marketing and product marketing
