Summary Of Position
The Government Program Manager will serve as a “go to” subject matter expert across our 50+ Government health plan clients (i.e., plans where we support their Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Marketplace members). The program manager will work closely with the various Client Management VPs who have government clients to support the development and execution of government client strategies, as well as work directly with the government clients developing executive relationships, driving business partner solutions, product strategy and supporting the client management team in revenue growth.
The Program Manager will work closely with various cross-functional team leads to support the development and execution of program strategies, as well as work directly with clients and partners. This person will develop executive relationships, drive business partner solutions, product strategy and support the program management team to achieve defined KPIs. This position will work directly with large health plan clients and must have experience navigating complex organizations and managing the business needs of various stakeholders.
Primary goals of this role will be facilitating/developing strong processes supporting successful partnerships with clients, working internally to identify opportunities for improvement, education, and driving positive relationships with clients that develop and support retention and growth strategies to solve our client’s top virtual care priorities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Understand organizational and departmental goals and objectives specific to growth of clients and work to identify and bring to completion holistic solutions, inclusive of reporting, audits, and implementation.
  • Use Salesforce database to log activities and sales opportunity, maintain good Salesforce database hygiene.
  • Industry acumen, with strong demonstrated knowledge and experience in healthcare, specifically Medicare & Medicaid
  • Participation in cross functional internal meetings for the purpose of identifying opportunities within the client for education or cross functional coordination; subsequently working with relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure program execution is in line with contractual requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills including presentations and senior level engagement.
  • Ability to work with legal and compliance to understand government regulations and requirements and how they apply to our business.
  • Manage client needs internally through various cross-functional departments, provide clients with clear expectations and roadmap, deliver value while balancing the needs of the client with the goals of the organization.
Qualifications Expected For Position
  • Exceptional relationship building & creative problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, Graduate degree preferred
  • 2-3 Years experience providing support for the Government (Medicare and/or Medicaid) health care operational interface to ensure business goals are achieved across the organization
  • Industry acumen, with strong demonstrated knowledge and experience in healthcare, specifically navigating the Health Plan industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic tools for gathering and storing client information
  • Diplomacy and ability to manage diverse stakeholders
  • Experience interacting with senior level executives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that all internal and external stakeholders understand the project goals and deliverables
  • Engaging, highly credible presence and style
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as close attention to detail required
  • Intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial approach
  • Hunger to exceed expectations and a passion to win
  • 7+ Years in program management experience
  • Confidence in both verbal and written communications with ability to express issues succinctly and make compelling arguments
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-90,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
