Job Description
Summary You will serve as a Executive Office Manager for the Executive Director (SES) of NAWCWD and the Deputy Technical Director (DTD) of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will provide liaison between the ED and Protocol/Public Affairs in preparation for high visibility visitors to NAWCWD or ED talking points for key speaking engagements. You will make all necessary travel arrangements or changes in accordance with Executive Director's travel preferences and coordinate itineraries to ensure orderly flow and maximum time utilization. You will be responsible for originating and/or reviewing correspondence and other material routed to Executive Director for signature or edit. You will ensure that the ED and Commander?s schedules are coordinated and that all Command-level events are properly supported. You will manage the calendars and schedules for the ED and Deputy Technical Director Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-6/7) or pay band (DG-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Maintaining an office or manager's schedule including de-conflicting calendars and proactively obtaining relevant information; 2) Reviewing correspondence, awards, and instructions for compliance with established guidelines and regulations (e.g., the Naval Correspondence Manual); 3) Exercising independent judgment in dealing with high-level leaders internal and external to the organization Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
