Looking for a job to get started in Human Resources? New High School or College Graduate looking for part-time work? Seeking out a developmental opportunity to see if Human Resources is right for you? Need an internship to graduate?

If this sounds like you, then Platinum Fire Protection may have the perfect position. Platinum Is seeking a new graduate or college student who wants to learn from experts in the field, while providing a great resource to the company in the Human Resources Department. This job is professional in nature and requires great communication skills as well as a focus on confidentiality. We can provide robust, project-based work for internships.

Requirements:

Take over quickly:

  • Monitor employee timecards
  • Maintain current safety manuals for staff
  • Maintain copies of training and OSHA reporting
  • Monitor applicant reports and submit bi-weekly
  • Maintain copies of licenses and monitor renewals
  • Update databases with employee information
  • Manage applicant tracking system and send new resumes to hiring managers weekly

Learn to do the following:

  • Employee injuries, OSHA reporting and the ADA
  • On-boarding new hires - I9 and E-verify, new hire documents, new hire training, monitoring in HRIS systems
  • Recruiting - phone screens and candidate experience
  • Benefits administration - updating enrollments, processing new hires, terminating coverages.
  • Maintaining HRIS and other HR systems - employee updates, employee consultation of systems
  • Leaves of absences - types, program requirements, tracking and complexities
  • Professional licensing - initial licenses and maintenance
  • Expense reimbursement support for staff
  • Terminations - unemployment, off-boarding, compliance requirements
  • COBRA administration
  • Payroll processing - FLSA requirements, processing timecards, managing payroll entry
