Employee Benefits Attorney Jobs

Great opportunity for an Employee Benefits Attorney with experience handling Employee Stock Ownership Plans, to join a growing mid-sized national law firm for a long-term remote project!

The attorney will work directly with the firm’s clients and will perform the following tasks and should have previous experience in these tasks:

• Preparing loan documents related to ESOP exempt loans.
• Counseling on ESOP tax consequences, including S Corp and Section 1042 elections.
• Preparing and amending ESOP plan documents, summary plan descriptions, distribution policies, unsolicited offer policies, and other plan-related documents.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in the design, development and implementation of various retirement and welfare benefit plans with the ability to counsel clients on day-to-day plan administration. The candidate must have experience in the design and administration of ESOPs and ESOP transactions, including counseling on fiduciary issues, and must be licensed to practice law in the state in which the work will be performed. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills with the ability to prepare effective employee communications and to explain complex benefit issues.
