Overview Employee Benefits Administrators are responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs. They ensure that employees receive the benefits they are entitled to, and that the benefits are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. They also provide advice and assistance to employees regarding their benefits. Detailed Job Description Employee Benefits Administrators are responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs. This includes researching and evaluating benefit plans, developing and implementing benefit policies and procedures, and providing advice and assistance to employees regarding their benefits. They also ensure that the benefits are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Employee Benefits Administrators are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the benefits program, including enrolling new employees, processing changes to existing benefits, and responding to employee inquiries. They also manage the budget for the benefits program, and ensure that the program is cost-effective. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Professional certification in employee benefits (e.g. CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations
• Knowledge of employee benefits programs and products
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
• Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
Job Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Experience in developing and implementing employee benefits programs
• Experience in managing budgets and financial operations
Job Responsibilities
• Research and evaluate benefit plans and develop benefit policies and procedures
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the benefits program
• Enroll new employees and process changes to existing benefits
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide advice and assistance regarding benefits
• Ensure that the benefits program is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Manage the budget for the benefits program and ensure that the program is cost-effective
• Develop and implement employee education and training programs related to benefits
