WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Responsible for routing and scheduling of all outbound freight.

Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operation of all transportation activities.
  • Answers shipping office phones, radio and may back-up Shipping / Receiving Clerks.
  • Supports sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental affairs.
  • Accurately handles the transportation function through UVX2000 System.
  • Maintains truck and trailers licensing and permits.
  • Provides input to management regarding transportation budgets in coordination with branch management.
  • Works with Transportation Coordinators / Purchasing on local vendor pick-ups.
  • Schedules deliveries with Company equipment and set-up common carrier pick-ups.
  • Responsible for meeting customer delivery requirements in a cost effective manner.
  • Responsible for all branch transportation related maintenance/housekeeping of equipment and fleet.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Skills:
  • Understanding of the Vopak USA business processes and procedures
  • Product familiarity
  • Familiar with UVX Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong phone skills vital for problem resolution and customer service

Education/Training:
  • Some product knowledge, chemical industry background and/or chemistry classes a plus
  • The ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English
  • Experience shipping and receiving products using a computer inventory system
