General Manager Jobs

The Iowa City Elks Lodge is a historic, private club located near downtown Iowa City, IA. The Lodge is home to a 9-hole golf course, a large outdoor pool, and private Lodge facility. Our Lodge has just completed a total renovation of the facility and is looking to take our 750 members to the next level of service. The Lodge hosts lunch, dinner and private events year-round in a beautiful, new venue with scenic views of our golf course.

Currently the Iowa City Elks Lodge is looking for a General Manager. This position is responsible for all Lodge departments including operations, membership, event programming, member and Board relations, facilities and financial management. This position will also oversee our Pro Shop, Golf Course and Pool.

As an Elks Lodge, we are philanthropically focused on our community with goals to continue development of the Lodge as a premier venue for member, corporate and private functions. The Club has a small and dedicated staff, and the ideal Manager will bring a hands-on approach to a wide range of Lodge operations.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong initiative, and the ability to work cooperatively with and through people to complete tasks, including the Board of Directors and Trustees. This candidate needs to be passionate about all aspects of the Elks local experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications; all inquiries will be held in the utmost confidence.
