About The Role
As Director, Strategic Planning & Business Operations, you will work across all teams to spearhead company-level strategic planning and help drive execution on strategic initiatives. You will act as a key evangelist for our company priorities, helping ensure that the entire company understands our goals and that leaders have what they need to achieve them. You will build relationships with senior leaders in every area of the business in this highly visible and impactful role. You will be equal parts operator and strategist, ensuring we are not only able to build successful strategies, but also able to deliver them in a predictable way. Success in this role will look like being able to see the big picture/end goal while managing down to the details in order to get there effectively and efficiently.
This role will report to the Chief People Officer, and will work closely with Chief’s executive team, including the CEO, to help drive its strategic agenda.
What You’ll Do
  • Perform objective data-driven analysis to understand key drivers of business performance and identify gaps, opportunities, needs and actions to address.
  • Drive a culture of accountability through KPI tracking and OKR check-ins.
  • Collaborate with the People team to help strengthen internal team comms strategy and execution (including All Hands and broader leadership meetings), serving as a bridge between the business and communications, driving a culture of transparency and effective communication across the organization.
  • Build business cases and develop metrics to track progress in collaboration with functional stakeholders (e.g., Finance to ensure our strategies achieve the right financial metrics.)
  • Support materials creation for quarterly Board meetings, as needed, to ensure the Board is informed on strategic priorities and company performance.
  • Play a key role in the annual strategic planning process, including quarterly executive strategy meetings.
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure we are building innovative strategies that drive our company goals, ensuring clear prioritization and delivering operational plans against them. Iterate on the planning process to improve outcomes.
  • Partner with the People leadership team to evaluate organizational ways of working opportunities and help develop an action plan to drive cross-functional communication & collaboration.
  • Guide the company’s OKR process including forming OKRs at the company level, supporting teams in the development of their OKRs as the internal OKR champion, and managing progress tracking & ongoing revisions.

  • Experience in strategic planning and business operations as well as deep commitment to formulating company strategy and building the infrastructure to achieve company goal; startup experience and strategy consulting experience is a plus
  • You are process oriented, and are equally comfortable diving into existing processes or creating new ones
  • You’re highly analytical, and can understand and dissect data (Excel proficiency is a must, SQL is a plus)
  • You thrive on clear and concise communication, and are able to synthesize disparate, complex information quickly, highlight the key takeaways, and generate concrete insights and recommendations
  • You’re a master at strategic prioritization and decision-making, and can effectively balance long-term business goals with short term needs

The base salary for this role is: $175,000.
