Menu Planning & Development Analyst

Job Summary:

Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the master planning, creative development, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its accomplished corps of Imagineers manage the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.

You will support the WDI Menu Planning & Development group by handling team historical product data and providing valuable business tools and analytical insights! This role will report to the Manager of Menu Planning & Development.

You Will:

• Communicate results through compelling presentations by tying together logical aspects of the story with graphics, charts, and verbiage
• Source, input, and maintain relevant product data for global park assets including operational performance, consumer insights, financial metrics, etc.
• Apply data analytics to tackle complex business problems and identify areas of improvement for WDI projects:
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends and insights using different analytical techniques (ex. statistics, forecasting, optimization)
• Provide independent decision-making about analysis methods for accomplishing projects with the oversight of the manager
• Build business-facing tools that can be used during early project ideation and shared throughout the organization
• Support the team in research questions and ad hoc projects

You Will Have:

• Experience with data management, quantitative, and qualitative analytics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to partner with others to handle multiple priorities within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under changing conditions.
• Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, and graphics software.
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience
• Familiarity and experience with presentation tools e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint
• Familiarity and experience with data visualization tools e.g. Excel, Tableau and Airtable (or equivalent)
• Broad understanding of The Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or Business

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $77,080.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
