A high-growth biotech company has a disruptive product portfolio that has added 4.5 million users the last few years and experienced multiple years of double-digit growth. The wearable digital products provide real time monitoring of a chronic medical condition that affects over 10% of the US population. The market-leading products provide personal, actionable insights, are easy to use and reduce hospitalizations by up to 50%. They are scaling up their strategic marketing team and adding a position focused on driving divisional strategic planning.

This is a high visibility role on a team that’s known for innovative, bold product strategies and partnerships. This person will routinely interact with the highest levels of leadership, including with the President of this $5B business unit.

The Opportunity

In this role you will shape strategic questions, lead analyses of the market and evaluate products, adjacencies and potential partnerships. The nature of the work means you’ll interact with executive leadership on a routine basis and serve as an internal consultant.

This is a broadly defined assignment that will include analytics, forecasting, market modelling, segmentation and product positioning. We need an analytical expert who is strong in quantitative skills as well as presenting and defending recommendations with executive level senior management on a monthly and annual basis. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues from other departments, including marketing, innovation, corporate development and finance.

You will manage the annual strategic planning process, including enhancing data analytics capabilities and drive the creation of growth strategies at the division and product franchise level. You will develop business cases and create models and slide decks for the executive team to support the strategic planning process as well as investor calls. You will also utilize expertise in forecasting and qualitative/quantitative market research.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in strategic planning, forecasting and market modelling in the medical/healthcare industry
• Strong executive presence
• 10+ years of analytics and business insights experience in the Med Tech or BioPharma industry, working either for a manufacturer or a consultancy that serves the industry
• Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred
• Experience with software products is a plus

A highly competitive base salary is provided, along with a yearly cash bonus, generous 401k match, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary is $135,000-$271,000. The position will ultimately be based in the San Francisco Bay Area working in a hybrid in office/work from home set up.
