Director, Product Management- Search-As-A-Platform

Dow Jones is seeking a Director of Product Management for Search-as-a-Platform as we reimagine a best-in-class search experience for our B2C and B2B products including Factiva, WSJ, Barron’s, Marketwatch, Newswires and more.

Responsibilities include:

• Leverage LEAN Product development approach in bringing new products and features to market quickly and for ongoing iteration.
• Identify trends and best-in-class Search user experience based on use cases and customers’ expectations
• Partner with key stakeholders to lead and define the Search vision and strategy.
• Use data and customer insights to make data informed decisions.
• Define and measure Search KPIs for success.
• Draft product requirements, user stories and details taking a user-focused approach to product development.
• Partner cross-functionally and globally with developers, UX, customer intelligence, delivery, and business strategy teams to bring Search strategy to life.
• Plan and execute (agile) roadmaps for web and mobile search experiences across the product portfolio, working cross-functionally with technology, design/UX, and project management teams.
• Develop testing plans to validate search strategy, in partnership with customer intelligence and data teams.

Requirements:

Hard Skills

• Familiarity with AWS platforms and technologies.
• Machine learning and Natural Language Processing technologies
• Taxonomies
• Recommendation systems
• Predictive Analytics & Statistics
• Natural Language and Semantic Search
• Specialization in Search technologies and product management covering the following domains:
• Knowledge Graph
• 8+ years of Product Management or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with Search solutions, B2B workflow solutions, media products, and/or financial services products.

Soft Skills

• Highly collaborative, make-things-happen mindset balancing consensus-building with decisiveness and speed.

• Able to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels and across a globally-distributed organization.

• Able to facilitate disparate stakeholders and team members, negotiate multiple points of strategy contention, and drive consensus in meetings, workshops and one to one Interactions.

• Hands-on approach to product management and customer experience.

Location:

Hybrid 3x days a week in one of these offices:

• New York City, NY or South Brunswick, NJ Dow Jones office locations.
