Product Owner

• Positively challege the engineering team to reach weekly, sprint-based, and release targets, continually striving for improvement in team velocity and quality.
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release / sprint goals.
• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
• Build and facilitate a requirements management process and operating rhythm.
• Provide vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value.
• Support the Product Manager in definition of product vision, roadmap and acceptance criteria.
• Represent product management as the Product Owner in scrum teams.
• Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using breakdown of epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Promote the benefits of the technology platform and development tool features throughout the internal development organization.
• Work with development team(s) to provide a roadmap update at the agreed upon cadence.
• Plan and prioritize a backlog and development for common, reusable, core services and tools.
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.

• You must be able to travel 10% of the time.
• Demonstrated success defining and launching products.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Proven commercial experience of managing a team through software delivery using Agile Methodologies e.g. SCRUM.
• 3-5 years Product Owner or Technical Leader experience.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in development of products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using software development lifecycle tools (Azure DevOps preferred; Atlassian suite and others acceptable).
• 1+ years experience building core software and tooling for application developers.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, planning and time management skills.
• Experience using Product Management tools including Aha!, Miro of Figma/Figjam, and Balsamiq.
• Experience coordinating and running workshops.
