That's why we're focused on revolutionizing learning, using our skills and expertise to help others develop theirs and reach their full potential. Individually, we bring our unique perspective to reimagine the way we share knowledge. Together, we can improve lives by making learning more accessible for our learners, our instructors, and businesses around the world.

About you

You've got goals, and you're energetic when it comes to working toward them. You want to enter an environment that welcomes diverse experiences and broadens your own. With the right support from your team, you're not afraid to embrace your creativity and take risks that have the potential to move the business forward.

The ideal candidate is at their core an avid learner, adaptable to the evolving needs of global learners. You should excel at managing complex paid search accounts, making data-driven decisions in competitive markets, and navigating vast data sets. A diverse digital marketing background, especially in performance marketing, is essential. You must be organized, exhibit exceptional communication skills, and be eager to explore new advertising tools shaping our industry.

About this role

As a Senior Paid Search Marketing Manager on Udemy's paid search marketing team, you'll be at the forefront of Udemy's global learner acquisition efforts. You will directly contribute to Udemy's mission of improving lives through learning by reaching and inspiring new learners and organizations to do their learning with Udemy.

Your work will entail the day-to-day management of multiple paid accounts comprising our global advertising program. You'll manage a variety of Google campaigns, test and present results, and try new Google alphas & betas. You'll track performance trends and share insights with fellow program managers. You'll work directly with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams in engineering, data science, analytics, and creative to help grow and expand your program's learner base globally, often in multiple languages.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, set up, and interpret copy and landing page experiments; collaborate with the Creative team for ad copy testing and optimization or write your own based on what's working.
  • Create, optimize, and scale campaigns on Google Adwords and Bing Ads while restructuring accounts for increased efficiency.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Decision Science teams to bolster marketing measurement, automation, and personalization.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on channel performance using diverse metrics; present insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with acquisition channel managers on cross-channel strategies.
  • Manage relationships with ad agencies, Google, and Bing account teams.

What you'll have:

  • 7+ year track record managing paid search accounts.
  • Proficiency using spreadsheets; familiarity with advanced systems like Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Looker, Mode, or Tableau.
  • Experience with various campaign types: Search, Display (GDN), Video (YouTube), Discovery App.
  • Global campaign management experience, ideally in multiple languages.
  • Previous experience collaborating with paid advertising teams: paid social, programmatic, affiliate.
  • Experience with accounts spending $300K+/month.

We understand that not everyone will match each of the above qualifications. However, we also realize that everyone has unique experiences that can add value to our company. Even if you think your background might not perfectly align, we'd love to hear from you!
