Job Description
The International Leadership Charter High School is a high performing, college preparatory, community-grown charter school in the northwest section of the Bronx.
We are looking for an experienced Director of Recruiting to oversee all talent acquisition operations in our charter school. In this role, you will be responsible for determining the objectives and strategic direction of the recruiting team and enhancing the school's brand.
You will identify the school's recruitment needs, oversee the development and advertisement of our job postings, and manage the screening and selection process. Apart from leading the hiring process, you will implement policies and guidelines for employee onboarding, training, growth development and maintain partnerships with educational institutions and employment organizations to scout new talent. You will report to and work alongside the Director of Operations to ensure all hiring initiatives meet the company’s overarching strategy and comply with local and federal employment regulations.
Director Of Recruitment Responsibilities
  • Monitor the performance of our ILCHS' recruitment using various KPIs, such as cost per hire, turnover rates, and time to hire
  • Maintain close working relationships with hiring agencies and educational institutions and leverage the rapport to source the best candidates
  • Identify the school’s recruitment needs, define objectives, and work closely with the leadership team to determine the most effective hiring strategies
  • Establish criteria for candidate interviews and assessments and assist in finalizing hiring decisions, especially for senior roles
  • Develop, streamline and oversee internal recruitment guidelines, policies, and onboarding processes
  • Provide training and assistance to junior operational associate members as needed
  • Set annual hiring projections and a recruiting budget based on research and internal audits
  • Manage candidate outreach via various online platforms to find the best potential candidates
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in relevant applicant tracking systems
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • In-depth understanding of employment laws at the local, state, and federal levels and best practices in recruiting
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • 8-plus years of experience in talent acquisition management, with 5+ years in a leadership role
