Director of Innovation

The Director of Throughput and Kitchen Innovation will be responsible for spearheading innovative strategies in throughput enhancement and kitchen optimization. This role involves collaborating across various teams to develop and implement strategies that elevate operational efficiency and customer experience across a vast network of restaurants. Reporting to the Vice President, Restaurant Evolution, this role entails leading a team of professionals and potentially expanding the team in the future.

The Role in Detail:

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to redefine the future of drive-thru services, focusing on enhancing speed and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the ideation process, from concept generation to selecting the most promising ideas, establishing an innovation framework for restaurant enhancements.
• Develop a testing infrastructure for kitchen innovations and enhancements, aiming to identify breakthrough opportunities in productivity and profitability.
• Work closely with Food Innovation to craft a new model for kitchens, emphasizing efficiency, team member experience, and food quality.
• Facilitate the sharing of best practices and kitchen improvements throughout the organization.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in building influential relationships, driving change, and tangible innovation in an established industry.
• Minimum of 10+ years in leadership roles within the restaurant or retail sector, driving innovation.
• Minimum of 3 years managing teams, fostering collaboration and integrating novel approaches.
• Preferred: MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization in fast-paced environments.
• Proven success in leading impactful innovation projects that reshape operational models, from inception to execution.
