HRE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS:
Are you an HR professional with a passion for reproductive healthcare, Strategic Relationship building, process improvement and HR data, metrics, and technology? Do you strive to refine and develop HR operational efficiencies and want to be part of Planned Parenthood's mission?
PPGNHAIK’s HRE Director is responsible for implementing and streamlining the operational functions of PPGNHAIK’s people strategy. This role will oversee all areas of HR including talent acquisition, compensation, shared services, etc. We are looking for a strategic partner who will maintain strong internal customer support to our teams with the goal of improving our HR functionality. This a limited duration role for 6 months.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Under the supervision of the CHREO, the HRE Director will work with department heads as a business partner, to maintain and enhance operational efficiencies to provide exceptional internal customer support. Additionally, the HRE Director will develop and implement long range plans necessary to incorporate technology change. This role is also responsible for identifying and accomplishing strategic talent-related goals, as well as developing, implementing, and evaluating effective and compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
Strategic Partner & Leadership Support:
  • Executes long-term and mid-term goals supporting the vision of PPGNHAIK and the organization's strategic and operating plans and goals.
  • Develops effective, productive relationships with functional leaders and partners in HR, IT and Finance; leverage these relationships to produce superior outcomes.
  • Provides leadership and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders cross-organizational and/or cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Provides strategic direction and oversight Human Resources functions, which includes talent acquisition, engagement and retention, talent development, performance management, compliance training, workforce planning, compensation, and HR operations.
  • Functions as a trusted strategic HR advisor to PPGNHAIK leaders regarding sensitive or critical people-related issues, including workforce planning, labor relations, change management, internal communication, crisis management, and risk management, etc.
  • Establishes procedures to ensure all internal customers are assisted appropriately and in a timely manner. Consults with front-line management on HR service delivery, adjusts HR practices to optimize HR functionality.
Team Leadership:
  • Provides leadership in mentoring and developing HRE Team in a manner that emphasizes the importance of empowerment, teamwork, collaboration, transparency, and the sharing of information, resources, and best practices.
  • Builds and maintains a strong functional HRE Team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, team building and succession planning.
HR Operations:
  • Maintains awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive HR programs and practices to center internal stakeholders and optimize service delivery.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Provide the overall functional direction and ensure the tactical execution for the design and delivery of HR programs, plans, and processes.
  • Establish strong standards for ongoing training and documentation for all HR processes and activities within the HR Operations function.
  • Directs the strategy and operations of all reporting and HR analytics including, but not limited to, performance dashboards, background checks, statutory compliance reporting, and custom reporting
  • Builds and enables strategies to ensure continuous improvement, consolidation and standardization for HR processes within the HR Operations function.
  • Oversees budget management strategies for HRE Teams
  • Consistently review and improve HR Operations strategies through emerging technologies, innovative solutions, feedback from the business, and overall associate experience.
  • Direct the strategy and operations of HR operations which includes, but is not limited to, compensation administration, rewards and recognition, severance administration, HR policies and procedures, HR SOX compliance, position management, and onboarding coordination.
  • Drive standardization, process improvement and automation to areas of oversight
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE: The Director of HRE Operations- Limited Duration, needs to have a passion for efficiency and service orientation. They utilize data and metrics to help make informed decisions on how to improve, streamline, and maintain HR service delivery. This person should have knowledge in HR technology, leadership, and HR fundamentals.

HR Technology Expertise:
  • Proficient understanding of people data management, reporting principles and testing standards
  • Proficient understanding of HCM systems and other HR technology platforms
  • Expert knowledge and conceptual mastery of HR information systems and HR processes required basic understanding and exposure to retail operations preferred
Experience of Education Needed: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Human Resources with at least 3 to 5 years direct experience in compensation management, 3 to 5 years in HR information technology or related discipline required, 3 to 5 years benefits management, 3 to 5 years recruitment, 5+ years Leadership experience required. Years of advanced education may be substituted for related experience.
Union experience preferred
Minimum 1-year experience working and managing in a virtual environment.
Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting managers.
Experience in healthcare preferred.
Experience working in non-profit or political advocacy organizations preferred.
SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP certification preferred.

COMPENSATION: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by the candidate's location, directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range is $120K to $135K paid annually.
LOCATION & TRAVEL: This role will be part of our corporate HRE team which is based in Seattle, WA and our preferred candidate may reside in one of our six-affiliate state area (Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, Indiana, & Kentucky). Hybrid (remote) working conditions depending on the organizational needs. Travel would be on average of 25% across our six-state affiliate area.
