Director Of Men’s Basketball Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Basketball Operations for the Men’s Basketball program reporting to the Head Coach. This is a non-coaching position which will coordinate all player development aspects of the Men’s Basketball program. This position will be helping and supporting the coaching operations. Job duties include:

• Develop and communicate daily schedule for staff and student athletes.
• Coordinate camps.
• Coordinate team travel.
• Special projects as assigned by Head Coach.
• Assist Head Coach with daily schedule.
• Schedule road practices and shoot arounds.
• Liaison to campus contacts connected to men’s basketball.

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
