Director, Group Sales - Spectacor Sports & Entertainment (SEE)

Compensation: $110K Target; $80K Salary PLUS $30K Bonus Potential at Goal

The Philadelphia Wings are a National Lacrosse League franchise heading in their fourth season in the National Lacrosse League and made their first playoff appearance in 2022.


Comcast Spectacor & Entertainment is seeking a qualified individual to lead and drive results for the Group Sales Department. This role will oversee the training and development of the group sales team. The ideal candidate has expansive knowledge of the group sales process and can drive teaching and executing creative revenue generating ideas. We are looking for a motivated and innovative leader who has managed day to day sales team operations and is a positive people leader to oversee a staff of sellers and ensures their individual success.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Clearly communicate with other internal departments that support ticket initiatives such as premium seating, ticket operations, event operations, charities, community relations, finance, human resources, and corporate partnerships
  • Create sales cadences and lead segmentation alongside our sales enablement team to support revenue growth
  • Observe staff sales encounters via phone, email, and face to face meetings and provide valuable feedback to improve performance
  • Design and deliver meaningful trainings session that continue to develop the staff’s skills to discuss products to potential clients
  • Read data to hold staff accountable, create sales pacing and projections to track against revenue goals
  • Conduct biweekly one on one meetings with the staff to ensure that sales metrics are being met and staff is supported in their professional development
  • Assist Sr. Director with campaign planning and new business and renewals for various properties
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by conducting orientation to sales process, sales tech tools, develop individual coaching plans, and introduction to product overview.
  • Create and track contests that motivate the staff and drive results



Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Time management, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 5 years in the sports and entertainment industry
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays performed on site
  • Able to evaluate performance and reporting metrics
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role required
  • Enthusiastic teacher with coaching skills and is innovative with a growth mindset
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in a related field
  • Action oriented and drives results
  • Experience with building and developing teams
  • Ability to design effective training programs
  • Proficient in ticketing systems and CRM systems
