Martz Bus, a leader in motor coach transportation, is recruiting for a Director of Sales based out of our headquarters located in Wilkes-Barre, PA.Martz Bus is family owned and operated and has been in the motor coach industry for over a century.

Essential responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate will direct and oversee the organization's charter sales policies, objectives, initiatives and set short and long-term sales strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of current sales programs. The Director of Sales will be responsible for inside sales, our tour department, assist the business development teams, and recommend product or service enhancements to improve sales.The successful candidate will develop clients, understand what motivates customers to charter buses, review and implement creative and fun tours, and understand how to close the deal.

The Director directly supervises the charter sales, customer service, and tours manager.Responsibilities include developing business, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

To be considered, candidates must meet the minimum following requirements:

Job Experience

-Five (5) years of experience in sales with a business development background

-Four (4) years of relevant experience at the manager level or above

-Shows sales career advancement in sales and management positions with increased responsibility

Additional Skills

-Demonstrated sales expertise, including building infrastructure and tracking measurement against KPIs

-Experience and ability to balance strategic & operational issues

-Demonstrated experience with market research resulting in generating revenue

-Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage effectively multiple projects under deadline pressure in a team environment

-Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines

-Must be able to synthesize and analyze data

-Must be solution focused-

-Travel as appropriate, may be up to 25%
