Job Description

Support strategic commercial operations in the Gulf region from development to execution to include business development, marketing, sales, and customer management in alignment with growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Writing business proposals.
  • Reporting on commercial operations, plans, successes, action plans.
  • New business start-up support and assistance.
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
  • Attend industry events-meetings.
  • Monitoring monthly cost and revenues.
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Customer contact and care.
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams, developing commercial pipeline.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
  • Liaison with industry and union partners.
  • Work with terminal managers to secure and retain cargo.
  • Negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Networking with industry leaders.
  • Increasing client base.
  • Conditions to position and reposition sales and marketing programs to realize performance targets.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts with legal.
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally, analyze market forces,
  • Developing growth strategies and plans that realize EBIDTA growth targets.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Technical solution selling skills with strong marketing and business development skills at a senior executive level.
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management and the Board.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship building acumen. Customer focus with the ability to establish and maintain successful client relations,
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically with a detailed understanding of the macroeconomic conditions impacting the marine terminal and port sector globally.
  • Strong command for the commercial landscape across container, cruise, roro, and marine terminal operation verticals globally.
  • Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies.


Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):


  • 10 years of experience in an overall commercial/business function in recognized maritime transportation/logistics organizations.
  • Proven success in leading commercial programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Business, or other relevant field of study required.
  • Prior experience in a fast growth environment with a decentralized functional structure.
