Director New Business Development

Brookwood are currently looking for a New Business Development Director to join an international design studio, based in Los Angeles. This globally acclaimed studio specialises in luxury hospitality, residential, workplace and overall high-profile projects. It combines innovative design with dedication to functionality and a love of layering different materials, textures and styles, for the creation of highly experiential interiors. The successful candidate will lead the new business & marketing strategy for US with focus on West Coast. They will be responsible for researching the local market, coordinating outreach and identify opportunities to secure projects and achieve targeted goals.

About the role:

• Performing market research and prepare regular status updates.
• Coordinating press activities in conjunction with the firm’s external consultant.
• Assessing potential new clients, projects, regions; and strategizing for proactive outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Managing the contact database to maintain client and collaborator relationships.
• Receiving inquiries for new business.
• Working with the firm’s Directors to define the strategic goals, consistent with the firm’s brand message that will guide all Business Development activities.

About the candidate:

• Experience in a similar role within an Interior design studio or Architecture firm
• Excellent verbal and written skills as well as strong presentation skills using InDesign/PowerPoint, Photoshop etc.
• Management of Salesforce database with client and collaborator relationships
• Extensive BD experience working in a direct-to-client capacity.
• Actively seeking out new business opportunities, using your own network of industry contacts and outreaching out to potential future clients
• Advanced knowledge of the property and design industry in the West Coast
• Genuine interest in architecture and design and ideally from a similar background.

Benefits/Remuneration:

• $80,000- $120,000 (The lower the base salary, the higher the commission)
