The SKYRIZI Consumer Marketing Director’s responsibility is to lead the development and execution of the consumer strategy for the psoriatic franchise. Success will be measured by the impact on both sales and contribution of key consumer investments on the IBT’s P&L.
Responsibilities include:
- Prioritization and execution oversight of integrated marketing ecosystem anchored in consumer insight, aligned to brand strategies and measurable
- Design, planning, execution, tracking, and optimization of Skyrizi Psoriatic DTC campaigns
- Understanding overall business trends and articulate consumer strategies that are integrated within the overall business and competitive context. Demonstrates ownership of strategic planning process and, in collaboration with the IBT Leadership Team, develops the vision, strategy and financials of the business plan.
- Design and shape consumer media strategy, TVC tracking/optimization, and digital tactic tracking/optimization in partnership with the Media Team, MABI, and Digital Lab
- Development of consumer brand strategy, messaging, and promotion for Ps and PsA indications
- Career development of direct reports including creation of skill growth and development plans for direct reports
- Develop compelling presentations to convey strategies to broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior executives, cross-functional leadership teams, and cross-functional partners for understanding and support of brand plans
- Fosters innovation of the team, proactively sharing learnings with other teams (Therapeutic Franchise, Consumer Immunology). Lead initiatives that seek synergies and innovation across IBT’s and Consumer Immunology (CD/UC integration, launch best practices, Adobe capabilities, SEO/SEM, etc.).
- Responsible for consumer agency management across the Dermatology Franchise. Accountable for continuing to build a strong and collaborative partnership with agency partners in delivering breakthrough creative (as measured by copy testing research and in-market performance) for key integrated multi-channel campaigns (broadcast, digital, social, content marketing).
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Additional Key Activities:
- In collaboration with the Consumer Dermatology Team and MABI, determine channel allocation for consumer campaigns.
- Work with MABI, CI and other groups to monitor the competitive landscape to uncover and/or validate activating consumer insight(s) that can unlock strategic opportunities across the Derm portfolio.
- Drive long term evolution and sustainability of each asset’s positioning. Lead the team in the ability to translate positioning into compelling strategies, tactics and communications.
- Further develop marketing and leadership capabilities across the Derm Consumer Team. Contribute to the capabilities development across Consumer Immunology.
- Be able to provide direction, input and feedback to the Media Team on media strategies and plans. Teach direct reports about media planning and strategy so they can further develop their skills in this area.
Accountability & Scope:
The incumbent works closely with brand teams (Derm Franchise, Immunology Consumer Marketing) outside agencies, third party partners, and internal functions (e.g., Media, Market Research, OEC, Legal, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Experience working within matrix-based teams and project management.
- Strong analytical and strategic marketing skills
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas & make the complex easy for others to understand.
- BA/BS required; MBA strongly preferred
- Executes highly effective working team meetings with internal and external partners and is visibly inclusive and transparent.
- Scientific acumen & therapeutic understanding, with the ability to extract insights from the analysis of complex datasets.
- Significant experience with mass market media, digital marketing, and relevant tracking/optimization
- Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functional partners outside of immediate team.
- Open to suggestion & experimentation for improvement, embraces ideas from others, encourages innovation but matches innovation to reality.
- Works collaboratively and proactively, maintains high degree of planning, coordination & project management skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve & resolve conflict with diplomacy.

Key AbbVie Competencies:
- 5 of which must be specific to healthcare, minimum 3 years in management.
- Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: leadership, technical marketing, business/financial acumen, strategic thinking and agility, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, and communication.
