About Our Client
My client is a world renowned metal manufacturer that is rapidly growing both organically and through acquisition. The organization is nearly $8B in revenue with multiple subsidiaries globally. My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join one of their largest subsidiaries based in Des Plaines, IL.
This subsidiary alone is nearly $1B! The company has completed 3 acquisitions in the last year and are poised to continue that growth for years to come. They are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join the team as a Senior Accountant to work alongside the Controller, VP of Finance and the Accounting Team to support month, quarter, and year end close, pursue process improvement opportunities and support ongoing and future acquisitions.
The Senior Accountant will have responsibility for financial reporting, periodic closes, account reconciliations, journal entries, treasury management, AP/AR, staying up to date with US GAAP, acquisition accounting, assisting with audit and ad hoc requests, etc.

• Responsible for financial reporting and the maintenance of financial records
• Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements and procedures
• Performing internal audit and assisting external firm with audit requests
• Oversight of treasury with daily and monthly banking and treasury management
• Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Assist with month-end close, including the completion of journal entries, reconciliations, maintaining AP, AR, etc.
• Complete ad hoc work as requested

The Successful Applicant

• Manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated problem solving and reasoning skills
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP required
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
