Position Purpose: Directly supervise behavioral health clients. Act as charge staff on duty during specified shifts. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health and addictions treatment services to clients and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

Job Requirements

• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• Master’s degree and a minimum 2 years of mental health and/or addiction treatment experience
• Qualify as QMHP

Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for clients, parents and community resources
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques
• CPR training or complete within three months

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist scheduled staff with any behavioral occurrences.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
• Provide staff mentoring and feedback.
• Observe, monitor and record group dynamics.
• Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the clinical staff counselors in developing and implementing the individual treatment plan and scheduling individual sessions to assist the clients in completing treatment plan objectives.
• Float between Triage and Crisis Residential units and provide guidance and support to scheduled staff.
• Consult with the members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• Serve as a member of the treatment team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
• Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with treatment schedules.
• Supervise the behavior of the clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
• Implement therapeutic activities.
• Ensure the completion Triage/crisis assessments
• Work a 10 hour shift 4 days a week and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Additional hours may be required. Assistance with on-call duties as times.
• Act as point person for communication with on-call counselor.
• Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of conduct.
• Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of the equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs are indicated.
• Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts.
• Facilitate didactic and peer group counseling as needed
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Sat & Sun 7am-5pm, Mon &Tues 2pm-12am
