Job Summary:
The Director of Human Resources (Aerospace or Heavy industry) will be responsible for leading and managing the human resources department of the aerospace company. The successful candidate will develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals, mission, and values. The Director of Human Resources (Aerospace) will work closely with the company's leadership team to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and manage recruitment and onboarding processes. This role requires a deep understanding of human resources best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals, mission, and values.
• Manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for all positions within the company, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements of each position.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement employee retention programs, including training and development opportunities, compensation and benefits packages, and employee recognition programs.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
• Develop and manage the HR budget and ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee employee relations, including managing employee grievances, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of HR experience in a leadership role, with at least 5 years in the aerospace industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven track record of building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
