As theHR Manager,you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various HR functions, from recruitment to compliance with employment laws and fostering a culture of safety. This role will support about 250 employees across 2 sites. We’re excited to grow our team with an HR leader that leads with integrity and emotional intelligence. We offer long-term growth and stability.
This is adirect-hireandonsiterole that will requiretravel(domestically) up to 15%.
Core Duties:
- Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment process to attract and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the company, collaborating with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and conducting interviews.
- Safety Management: Prioritize safety as a key focus for the organization by overseeing safety programs and ensuring that all employees are trained on company safety policies and procedures. Emphasize a culture of safety throughout the location.
- Turnover Management: Create and execute strategies aimed at efficiently managing employee turnover, identifying factors contributing to attrition, and devising retention initiatives to retain a skilled and talented workforce.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations and address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and impartial manner, promoting a harmonious work environment.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits administration, including managing employee inquiries and resolving related issues.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all legal obligations related to human resources, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, and other employment laws.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in Human Resources.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven experience with safety programs, compensation, benefits, recruiting, hiring, and training.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
