About the Role

Materialize is a leading software development agency that offers a "software development team as-a-service". We specialize in building high-quality, performant custom web and mobile applications for clients across multiple industries, including entertainment, healthcare, finance, advertising, and more.

We are currently looking for an experienced Contract Project Manager to join our team and manage a variety of web and mobile app projects. This is a contract position with a pay rate of up to $60/hr.

Responsibilities

• Help assess project viability and provide input on the development process.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and keep them informed of project progress.
• Work directly with offshore engineers, providing direction and support to accomplish project goals.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with the VP of Project Management and the CEO of Materialize.
• Implement Agile methodology and oversee project management using Jira.
• Direct and oversee quality assurance testing, ensuring that project deliverables meet the highest standards.
• Monitor and manage project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to keep them on track.
• Coordinate and manage web app and mobile app projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also collaborating effectively with team members and clients.
• Proven experience as a project manager, preferably within a software development firm or agency.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in the software development process, including UI/UX design, backend and frontend development, DevOps, and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with Jira.
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, Vue, Next.js, ExpressJS, Laravel, Django, GraphQL, REST, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and collaborate with diverse teams, including offshore engineers.

Work Schedule

The candidate is expected to work on or near Eastern Time Zone hours. The regular weekly schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible hours.
