Job Description
About Ritual

Ritual is a personal health brand that is building the future of daily essentials. Our mission is simple: we help turn healthy habits into a Ritual. We started by creating the first visible supply chain of its kind and reinventing the daily multivitamin from the ground up. Now, together with some of the world’s leading scientists, researchers and advisors, we’re developing a new standard of high-quality, traceable daily products across new categories. Hundreds of thousands of customers across generations trust us, and we are growing quickly.

We’ve built a team of over 120 (and counting) curious skeptics, world-class scientists, unconventional artists, expert marketers, and analytical strategists. We’re venture-backed and based in sunny Los Angeles. If you’re looking to challenge the status quo and be challenged to do the best work of your career, join us.

Essential

We’re in search of a Senior Project Manager with experience in creative team operations. This is a senior role that is responsible for managing creative projects from conception to implementation. In this role, you’ll report to the Director, Program Management and collaborate with multidisciplinary creatives, marketers and scientists.

You’re a champion of creative work—committed to facilitating an exceptional working environment for creativity. You are proactive, meticulous and hyper-organized. You pay attention to your team, partners and our customers, so you can anticipate their needs and meet—better yet, exceed their expectations. You show up as a positive leader by keeping your teammates hopeful in frustrating situations. You’re accountable and driven to ensure creative work is on time and on brief. Success in this role means our team will thrive and succeed in creating outstanding work.

What You'll Do

  • Project management: Manage a wide range of active and upcoming cross-functional projects by confidently defining scope, timelines, milestones, staffing needs, budgets, and deliverables; tracking progress; understanding dependencies and communicating status to stakeholders. Participate in the building of our PMO team by making connections to dependencies and resourcing across the project portfolio
  • Champion the creative team: Facilitate creativity within the company by understanding your team member’s strengths and bandwidth, coordinating reviews and smooth operations. Influence an environment that encourages creative excellence by identifying and implementing ways to improve the team’s processes, tools, infrastructure and workflows.
  • Communications: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create work consistent with the broader company vision and initiatives. Proactively identify potential issues and develop solutions. Consistently and effectively communicate project status and progress by documenting decisions and action items, following up with owners on commitments, and ensuring expectations are clear
  • Staffing: Work closely with creative leadership and cross-functional partners to resource projects properly. Gauge skill levels and identify skill gaps in the team
  • Collaborate: Cultivate positive relationships within the creative team, among our internal teams, and with external partners and become a trusted thought partner to the team

Who You Are

  • Proactive Problem Solver. You are a resourceful, innovative and, sometimes out of the box, thinker in your approach to solving problems. You have your recommended path forward but can’t help but have a back-up plan to your back-up plan.
  • Clear Communicator. Excellent communicator and collaborative team player, driving exceptional project outcomes.
  • Creative Advocate. Champion of the creative process, team and output. You find joy in being immersed in the details of creative and sharing your learnings, experience, and best practices with creative’s cross-functional partners.

What You Need

  • Abilities: Strong skills in prioritization, problem solving, communication, presentation, industry-standard project management software and workflows. Build trust and positive relationships with people you work with everyday, from the creative team to cross-functional partners to c-suite executives. The ability to stay nimble and find creative solutions to keep work moving forward. An eye for excellence in creative direction, design, and writing.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management either at an ad agency or in-house across a variety of media including print collateral, packaging, social media, advertising, and digital product. Fluency in Google Suite is a must. Production experience is preferred.
  • Drive Strong desire to take part in creating high-quality creative work and influence an enriching and respectful environment by bringing people together.
