The Opportunity


Come join IGN as a Project Manager within the creative solutions team. In partnership with the sales team, the creative solutions team generates ideas for, and executes on, custom campaigns for IGN’s commercial partners. Project Managers work on the execution of the campaigns we sell, alongside the design, strategy, account management, sales and video production teams at IGN. Our collective goal is to drive revenue for IGN by creating cool, innovative programs that exceed the expectations of our audience and our partners.


The Project Manager role is responsible for overseeing multiple sponsored and custom programs from the point of being sold through all production phases. In partnership with both internal and external stakeholders, it is the responsibility of the Project Manager to ensure each deliverable and creative expectation is executed to client’s satisfaction as well as tracking all elements and projects encompassed in a partnership program.


The Project Manager at IGN will work across internal teams (design, strategy, account management, sales, product, engineering, ad operations, social, editorial, promotion, video, etc) as the day-to-day contact and is the driving force that ensures IGN will deliver on and fulfill client partnership initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the deliverables of the partnership programs IGN works on, ensuring the smooth execution of the custom content, microsites, ad units, and any other kind of deliverable that is a part of them!
  • Ensure all aspects and requirements of a program are met on time and within the established scope.
  • Liaise with Design, Product, Creative Strategy, Video Production, Social, Ad Operations, Sales, and Account Management teams to ensure program definition, deliverables, and expectations are consistent with client’s needs and expectations.
  • Build project timelines and ensure members of each program stick to it.
  • Lead and organize efficient internal meetings.
  • Build robust production schedules for major productions, high-impact media, and long-lead programs.
  • Develop tasks lists, status reports & meeting notes to track programs from kickoff through program end.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple programs and associated tasks across multiple teams, productions, and stakeholders.
  • Manage production budgets associated to the programs being overseen


Job Qualifications


  • Prior experience with advertising partnership productions and client-facing deliverables
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising principles, branded content, and current digital media trends.
  • At least two years’ project management experience with preferred focus on digital and/or integrated marketing/advertising agencies.
  • Experience scoping and advising project needs for video production, display media, and web design including budgets, schedules, lead-time, and deadlines.
  • High-level cross-discipline knowledge of strategy, requirements gathering, content strategy, production, technology, analytics, and quality assurance.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with creative teams to break down tasks and facilitate the resolution of issues.
  • Prior experience facilitating large-scale commercial program initiatives from inception to launch, while managing multiple digital media and video deliverables, stakeholders, and platforms.
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve project issues with a solutions-first approach.
  • In-depth understanding of what resources to pull into a project and when.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects across multiple clients.
